Robin Martinez is the Lotus Group’s General Counsel, where he brings a broad range of legal experience on business and real estate issues to the team. Since starting law practice in 1989, Robin’s work has included providing strategic advice to boards and senior executives, negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts, business and real estate acquisition and financing, and tax credit financing for commercial real estate projects in the hospitality, multifamily, and commercial office sectors.

Environmental issues are one of Robin’s core interests. He served as a member of the City of Kansas City’s Environmental Management Commission, chairing a task force responsible for studying and developing recommendations for sustainable solutions for vacant lots throughout the city. Robin also devoted time to work with grassroots organizations opposing the Keystone XL and Dakota Access oil pipelines in the Upper Great Plains.

When not at work, Robin enjoys going hiking and outdoor photography, playing bass guitar (heavy metal), and reading – history, international affairs, and science fiction.
